The one cosmetic product that seems to be resistant to a pandemic and soaring inflation rates is makeup. People continue to spend money on beauty, and we wholeheartedly endorse this! To get more value for your money, though, try these affordable alternatives to makeup.

We’ve put up a list of drugstore makeup that is just as good (or better!) than the high-end stuff for those of us who adore stocking our beauty bags despite any shrinking finances.

A list of high-quality inexpensive makeup substitutes for pricey name-brand cosmetics has been put together by the team at Brad’s Deals, including managing editor Casey Runyan and a few other beauty enthusiasts. Enjoy!

1) Liquid Eyeliner

Although Lancome Precision Point Eyeliner includes a convenient minibrush and a long-lasting look, some people’s finances simply cannot support paying $31. Most certainly, the $3.19 you spend on the Wet ‘n’ Wild liner will be the finest money you’ve ever spent! Similar to the Lancome liner, it is simple to apply, lasts all day, and, considering how tiny the bottle is, lasts an absurdly long time. Seriously, save yourself the $22. There won’t be any discernible difference.

2) Mascara

Benefit’s BADgal Lash thickens without clumping and remains in place the entire day without smudging. At a much lower price, L’Oreal Paris Voluminous Mascara does the SAME feat. This product also lasts a lot longer in a bottle than its more expensive substitute, which tends to dry out quite rapidly.

3) Shampoo

Both Pureology and OGX are sulfate-free, use “all natural” ingredients (although anyone who is familiar with American labeling laws knows “all natural” may practically mean anything), have a tingling sensation on the scalp, and smell minty-fresh. Because of their exceptional scents and the way they make hair feel after usage, OGX shampoo and conditioner are a consumer favorite.

4) Lipsticks

Aveda’s Nourish-Mint lipstick is a well-liked high-end product with a fresh mint scent, however we’ve seen that customers have issues with the length of wear. Try REVLON’s Super Lustrous Lipstick as an alternative. Although REVLON Super Lustrous Lipstick doesn’t have the same mouthwatering mint flavor as its AVEDA rival, it is significantly more pigmented and lasts far longer. Also, the cost is reasonable.
